Italy: strada Napoleonica, picturesque climbing area and Opicine

In spring we are all trying to find some sun and we are chasing higher temperatures and the scent of the sea. And spring by the sea has special charm even for us, mountains lovers.
Strada Napoleonica or Napoleon trail is lookout path set up above Trieste and offers great views to the sea, castle Miramare and Trieste. The official name of this trail is Strasa Vicentina.
Starting point of 8 km long round-path Strada Napoleonica is obelisk in the highest point of town Opicine. The path goes down at first and starts to climb by picturesque rocks in front of settlement Borgo San Natario by Proseco.
Natural rocks attract climbers that are interesting to observe on one side and on the other side the views all the way to the Dolomites in clear weather. This picturesque climbing spot is also the place when you decide wheather you are going back on the same path or you are going on round path through forest by temple Monte Grisa.
For the end of the trip you can go to Trieste for an ice cream (in dolceria Gangemi you can get splendid ice cream), to Miramare castle or at least to sympathetic town Opicine, where you can enjoy in tasteful local food in one of its restaurants.
