Burano is just what you are looking for. It is an island in Venice lagoon, it smells like Venice but is totally different of well known neighbor which is more besieged by tourists. It´s photogenic, alive, just magnificent. For photo enthusiasts – amateurs or professionals – is especially interesting.

The best time to visit Burano is spring or autumn. You cannot go to Burano by car, you must go by boat, on which you can enter on many stations. We went from station Punta Sabbioni, early on a beautiful sunny April day. We were charmed by colorful houses and streets. When you count in good company and pistachio ice cream – the day becomes perfect. And definitely one to be repeated. 🙂
